From theory to practice
Within the framework of the Master's program in Global Studies, a relevant internship of 6 ECTS credits is required for the testing and practice-oriented application of the acquired knowledge and skills; this corresponds to 150 working hours. The internship can be completed in Austria and abroad, preferably at state-authorized and recognized institutions, at relevant NGOs and international organizations, and must be applied for in advance.
Participation in projects carried out by university institutes or other university institutions can only be recognized if it can be proven that there is no possibility to carry out the compulsory practice at a non-university institution. The internship must be organized independently and on the student's own responsibility and must be completed as part of the course of study.
In addition, it is possible to complete an internship as a free elective.
